Sub: Modified Assured Career Progression Scheme (MACPS) – Clarification thereof – reg.
Sir/ Madam,
Reference is invited to the Council’s letter No. 33(3)/2009-Estt.I dated 2.3.2010 regarding implementation of Modified Assured Career Progression Scheme (MACPS). A large number of references have been received regarding grant of financial upgradation under the above Scheme. It is clarified that the cases of financial upgradation under MACP Scheme upto the Grade Pay of Rs.4800/- in PB-2 and Rs.5400 in PB-2, may be examined in accordance with the extent guidelines on the subject and finalized at the Institute level. However, the cases related to the granting of Grade Pay of Rs.5400/- in PB-3 and above, if any, may be referred to Council through SMD for the approval of competent authority in the enclosed proforma.

Each & every post should be given MACP justifiably; otherwise the motto of the scheme is not satisfied. Hierarchy is not maintained, only alms are given on the mercy of the Govt's whim. It cannot be tolerated.

ReplyDeleteI am an employee of ICAR Research Instt. holding post of Personal Asstt. I have been given ACP on 23.8.2006 onwards in the prerevised grade 6500-10500. I was in the prerevised grade 5500-9000 and upgraded to 6500-10500 after completion of 24years of service. Then what is the grade pay for my grade 9300-34000. I have been given grade pay 4600/- from 23/8/2006 onwards. Or I am entitle for 4800/- or 5400/- please clarify.

ReplyDeleteIam working as JE(DRG)in Railways with grade pay of Rs 4200/- My date of joining services is 13.2.1996.I have joined service in the grade Rs 4000-6000. Kindly clarify wheather I am eligible for Upgradation under MACP. I would like to know the effect of granting of higher pay scales to drawing and design staff vide Railway board circular dated 1.9.1998 which states that initial recuritment for drawing and design staff should be in the grade 5000-8000 kindly clarify wheather the above orders are benificial to me
