ReplyDeleteAny qualification gained by an officer even privately through correspondence course or evening classes should also be eligible for qualification grant
NK Mehta
I fully agree .The end result of even correspondance exams are acquiring additional qualification only.
ReplyDeleteI also agree with what Mr. Mehta said.
ReplyDeleteI think it is not necesary to have study leaves for acquiring higer qualification. However, you must have prior permission from your department. I am sure about this rule because I acquired Ph.D. as external student without taking study leave and still got the grant.
ReplyDeleteI fully agree with Mr Mehta. Actually if anyone in Govt service acquires higher qualification during service at his own efforts without any Govt. financial & if his qualification is professional, he should definitly be given some financial benifits either by giving promotion or advance increments.
ReplyDeleteDegree/post graduate degree in all subject, irrespective the fact whether it is professional/technical/educational qualification, should be incorporated in this scheme.

ReplyDeleteThe govt. should grant study leave to non-gazetted officers who wish to study courses like LLB (LAW). At present only gazetted officers are granted study leave. The process of granting leave should be easy and simple.
